A MAN wanted over a knife-point robbery at a Coventry convenience store was arrested after police found him hiding in a loft.
Officers raided a home in Henley Road, Coventry, on Friday (October 23) after receiving information suggesting the man, who was suspected of an offence at a Broad Park Road shop, was inside.
When a search team inspected the attic they found the 33-year-old, from Foleshill, lying low. They also found a number of suspected stolen items on the scene. Officers were initially told the man they wanted was not at the address.
The man was taken into police custody on suspicion of conspiracy to rob alongside two other people at the address, this included a 24-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy.
During the robbery, which took place at 8pm on Thursday (October 22), a man armed with a knife threatened a female member of staff before fleeing with cash and cigarettes.
All three remain in police custody.
