THE LOWER Precinct Shopping Centre has announced Canley Food Hub has been selected as its Charity of the Year for 2024-2025.

Chosen from nominations submitted online through Lower Precinct’s social media pages, Canley Food Hub will be the official charity partner from August 1 to July 30.

This new partnership offers Canley Food Hub a platform to increase both awareness and crucial funding for their important work.

Throughout the year, the food hub will have the opportunity to host fundraising events at the shopping centre, especially during high-traffic periods such as the summer holidays and the Christmas season.

In addition to hosting events, Lower Precinct will actively promote Canley Food Hub through its website and social media channels, further expanding the charity’s reach and visibility.

Nic Demagalski, centre manager at Lower Precinct, said: “We are delighted to welcome Canley Food Hub as our Charity of the Year.

“Their dedication to supporting those in need within our community is truly inspiring.

“We look forward to working closely with them throughout the year to provide them with a platform to raise awareness and funds for their vital services.”

Julie Hughes, coordinator of Canley Food Hub, added: “We are very excited to be Lower Precinct’s Charity of the Year and to be able to work in collaboration as their partner for a year

“This partnership will greatly enhance our ability to support the community.”
