COVENTRY City Council’s Lord Mayor is inviting members of the public to attend a special service to remember the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
Led by Lord Mayor Councillor Kevin Maton the service will begin with an exchange of greetings between the cities of Coventry and Hiroshima.
The service will include videos of welcome from the Ambassador of Japan, and the Catholic and Anglican Bishops of Hiroshima.
There will also be a Japanese Taiko Drumming Performance before the remembrance begins.
The Hiroshima Day service takes place on Saturday (August 6) at 1.30pm at Coventry Cathedral.
