Long-awaited performances of Dick Whittington panto set for half-term at Coventry's Albany Theatre

Coventry Editorial 19th Feb, 2022   0

THE LONG-AWAITED performances of the pantomime Dick Whittington will take place at Coventry’s Albany Theatre over half-term.

Albany Productions’ first ever home-grown panto was due to open on December 30 but was delayed because of the uncertainty surrounding Covid and the variants at that time.

They decided to postpone it to the February half-term to a time which would give more families the chance to see it.

Now they will be able to join Dick Whittington as he seeks fame and fortune on the glittering streets of London.

Guided by magical Fairy Bow Bells, Dick needs the audience’s help to defeat the sinister King Rat and his rabble of rodents so he can become Lord Mayor of London and win the heart of the beautiful Alice.

Performances take place at 7pm every evening between Tuesday and Saturday, February 22 and 26, with 2.30pm matinees on the Thursday and Saturday.
