LOCAL climbing centre is inviting Coventry and Warwickshire families for a taster session with a very special guest to celebrate the release of the latest Spider-Man film, No Way Home.
On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th December, between 2pm and 4pm, the Sports and Wellness Hub at the University of Warwick, in Coventry, is taking local children to new heights – with a bit of help from a Marvel-inspired super-climber.
The sessions are designed to give children aged 5 to 17 years old a taste of ‘wall crawling’ at the climbing centre’s state-of-the-art facilities, alongside experienced climbing instructors.
Alan Jephcott, climbing manager at the University of Warwick Climbing Centre, said: “Indoor climbing isn’t new, but we’ve seen a sharp increase in members ever since it featured at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
“There’s a real demand for taster sessions, with more and more people of all ages keen to get into the sport and familiarise themselves with the climbing terms, gear and techniques.
“With school holidays coming up, and the much-anticipated release of the latest instalment of the Spider-Man franchise, we felt it was the perfect time to come up with an exciting way to help local children discover something new.”
