Coventry Editorial 30th Jan, 2022

A BALSALL Common baby loss support charity has been handed £5,000 to help parents in their hour of need.

The Lily Mae Foundation was given the grant by Assura Community Fund administered by Cheshire Community Foundation and it will be used to develop their baby loss support service by hiring and training specialised bereavement support workers.

The charity offers a One to One Baby Loss Support Service and baby boxes as well as a number of other projects aimed to help those who have lost a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination.

Charity founders, Amy and Ryan Jackson said: “Thanks to the generous funding from the Assura Community Fund grant, we will be able to grow and sustain our baby loss support service.

“Hiring and training specialised bereavement support workers and enabling us to help parents who are suffering with grief following the loss of their precious baby, providing support as soon as possible.”

Assura is a national business, building and developing primary care health centres and has pledged to £400,000 as part of its Community Fund programme.
