Hundreds celebrate diversity at Coventry Pride

Coventry Editorial 16th Jun, 2017 Updated: 16th Jun, 2017   0

HUNDREDS of people lined the city’s streets for this year’s Coventry Pride event.

Performances by local musicians, comedians and dances dominated the city centre, as people representative of different communities came together to celebrate diversity.

Food and drink stalls kept people satisfied, while a stall run by The Herbert Art Gallery gave art-lovers something to talk about.

There was also the chance to explore the city’s other ‘vibrant and trendy’ locations, such as FarGo Village and The Belgrade Plaza.

Meanwhile, the Body Image Fashion show allowed individuals to showcase their identity and body confidence, as part of a display of Coventry’s diverse communities.

The day was topped off with the blessing of Haley Bridge and Claire Haines’ marriage at University Square.
