Homeward bound - stolen Jack Russell Millie dumped from jacked truck finds her way home

A JACK RUSSELL unsuspectingly stolen by car jackers has been re-united with her owner.

Millie was in a red Mitsubishi truck when thieves struck at a farm in Hunningham near Leamington this afternoon – jumping in it as soon as her owner pulled up in the yard and speeding off.

Owner Crick Ellis gave chase but lost sight of the truck – and the Vauxhall Astra the thieves had turned up in – a short distance from the farm.

The heartbroken family – who own Hilltop Farm Shop and Cafe – quickly took to social media to appeal for any information and Millie’s swift return.

Their pleas were shared over 500 times.

Thankfully, it appears the thieves quickly realised Millie was in the truck and stopped to dump her by the side of the road somewhere.

And just a few hours after being dognapped she casually strolled back into the farm – to the delight of the family.

“I’m so glad she’s home – I was beside myself with worry about what might happen to her and that I may never see her again,” said Crick.

“Thank you to everyone who helped us spread the word so quickly – it means an awful lot to us.”

Anyone with information about the stolen Mitsubishi – registration OE09 TKK – should call the police on 101.
