POPULAR rock group Kaiser Chiefs and indie pop singer Tom Odell have today been confirmed to join Chase & Status for day one of MTV Crashes Coventry on Friday (May 27).

Formed in Leeds in 2003, Kaiser Cheifs consists of Ricky Wilson, Andrew White, Simon Rix, Nick Baines and Vijay Mistry.

Fronted by the charismatic Ricky Wilson, their trademark indie rock sound has delivered a string of anthems including Oh My God, I Predict A Riot, Ruby, Everyday I Love You Less And Less and Never Miss A Beat.

The band are currently working on their 6th studio album due for release later this year.

The band commented: “We can’t wait to crash Coventry.

“We played MTV Crashes Plymouth two years ago and it was amazing, we are so excited to do it all over again this year.”

Joining the Kaiser Chiefs will be English singer, songwriter, Tom Odell.

Following his BRITs Critics’ Choice Award win in 2013, Tom released his debut album ‘Long Way Down’ – which charted at number one – and went on to reach platinum selling status.

The 25-year-old went on to win the Ivor Novello award for Songwriter of the Year in 2014 and is currently putting the finishing touches to his much anticipated second album.

This year’s event will be the first time MTV Crashes has been held inside a stadium – bringing fans an entirely new experience.
