Coventry libraries are planning a host of activities to celebrate Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday (February 2).
Harry Potter themed events focus this year on the Professors of Hogwarts.
A number of the city’s 18 libraries across Coventry will host themed activities, games, quizzes and crafts.
A Coventry City Council spokesperson added: “There will also be lots of magical books to read and borrow across all Coventry libraries.
“This is the third annual Harry Potter Book Night to be celebrated across the world, and schools, libraries and bookshops around the country will be getting involved.”
A full listing of Coventry libraries events and some free activity sheets are available on Coventry City Council’s website.
All events are free, all are welcome, and no booking required.
The council advises the events are suitable for children aged seven and over.

The national website for Harry Potter Book Night 2017 states: “They say that the influence of a good teacher can never be erased so who better to celebrate on Harry Potter Book Night 2017 than those who taught Harry Potter and his friends many magical skills.
“Whether it was the suave charm of Gilderoy Lockhart or the dark complexity of Severus Snape, many of the professors of Hogwarts had a huge impact on Harry Potter’s adventures at Hogwarts.
“So get ready to celebrate The Professors of Hogwarts on 2nd February 2017 when once again, fans of all ages will have the chance to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s wonderful series – and pass the magic on to young readers who haven’t yet discovered these unforgettable books.”
