Grand apiece for Coventry residents in lottery draw

Coventry Editorial 14th Apr, 2020   0

NEIGHBOURS in a Coventry village are celebrating after the Easter weekend following a win of £1,000.

The six households in Allesley scooped the win thanks to their lucky postcode in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The residents of Butt Lane netted the cash when CV5 9FB was drawn as a prize winner on Saturday (April 11).

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners. He said: “Congratulations to our winners. What a great surprise to start their weekend!”

Organisers say a minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by Woodland Trust which has received over £13.1 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. It is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, owning over 1,000 different woods across the country. These woods support a wide range of plants and wildlife and attract thousands of visitors each year.
