FOSTER carers across Coventry can now get a further reward for their hard work by using their Go CV card.
The higher Go CV+ level of discount for activities, attractions and courses in the city is now available for those who look after children and young people.
The council-run Go CV scheme now has over 70,000 members who benefit from a range of activities and offers including free entry to the Coventry Transport Museum, discounts on entrance to The Wave, savings on fitness sessions, days out deals and exclusive offers on tickets and competitions.
Foster carers, those who are on qualifying benefits and students, can save even more money by paying Go CV+ prices where advertised.
Coun Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, said: “I’m pleased we can show how much we value the hard work of our foster carers by being able to give them a higher level of discount through Go CV.
“It’s encouraging that more partners are coming on board all the time to offer members even better offers and I’d advise anyone living or studying in the city who are eligible to join the scheme.
“Fostering families can now take advantage of the offers available to Go CV+ card holders.”
Coun Patricia Seaman, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: ‘’This is a great opportunity and recognition of the crucial role our foster carers play in our community.
“The rewarding experiences our foster carers provide for vulnerable children are invaluable and Go CV+ discount will make this more affordable for them to enjoy.”
