FRAIL residents have been left ‘scared and shaken’ after two burglars stole Asian jewellery from a home in Wyken.

A neighbour on Blackberry Lane, Coventry, posted a warning on Facebook about the incident on Saturday (May 11).

The anonymous resident on Facebook said: “A neighbour’s house was broken into this afternoon at 2pm on Blackberry Lane, Wyken, while the elderly and very poorly residents were in the house.

“The two pieces of scum stole a jewellery box and and a wallet before they were disturbed by the elderly gentleman and fled.

“This has left them (the residents) badly shaken and scared.

“Any information about these low-life scum should be passed to the police – or if you are offered any Asian jewellery, please report it.

“Be vigilant around this area, lock your doors and windows, these scum are on the prowl.”

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a burglary at an address in Blackberry Lane around 2.10pm on Saturday.

“Offenders managed to force entry into the property and took jewellery and cash.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime quoting crime reference 20CV/111965B/19.”
