FOUR men have been arrested after a fatal hit and run in Foleshill in the early hours of yesterday.

Police were called to Station Street West at just before 2.30am (Tuesday, June 5) to reports of a collision between a silver Volkswagen Passat and a grey BMW.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, is yet to be identified and officers are working with the Romanian Embassy to help trace his family.

Three men, aged 37, 35 and 25, were arrested yesterday from an address in Coventry on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and assisting an offender.

They have been released pending further enquiries.

A 31-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the incident remains in hospital.

Sergeant Alan Hands from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are still trying to establish what happened yesterday morning and would urge anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to an officer, to call us on 101.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting log 195 of 5 June.
