AN EXHIBITION of handmade jewellery is on display at Foleshill Library until Saturday, March 12.

The pieces, inspired by family, heritage and history, have been created by members of the Broad Street Wellness Junction Group.

‘Formed in Foleshill’ is part of a project by Coventry Libraries Service, in partnership with digital support agency The Space.

It is aimed at developing a digital culture programme called Digital Spaces.

A jewellery making event will take place between 4pm and 6pm on Friday, March 11.

As well as being able to create their own unique piece of jewellery, there will also be a special screening of the Formed in Foleshill oral history film.

Craftspace was commissioned to work with Broad Street Wellness Junction to create resources for their own digital content and help shape cultural provision in the city’s libraries.

The project has been supported by staff at Foleshill Library, members of Shelanu Women’s Craft Collective led the creative sessions where participants made jewellery inspired by their cultural background and/or family history.

Foleshill Library is open from 9am to 7pm on Thursday and Friday and between 9am and 4pm on Saturday.
