CREWS from four fire stations attended a severe blaze which broke out a high rise block of flats in Coventry.
Firefighters from Coventry, Canley, Foleshill and Binley were sent to the scene and a smoke curtain was used to protect the stairwell while crews fought the flames.
The fire broke out in the bedroom of one of the flats in Earlsdon yesterday and then spread to other rooms.
Firefighters said the incident showed the importance of peopleĀ closing internal doors as it holds back smoke and flames should a fire break out.
