POLICE raided a Coventry home in search of firearms after a man was arrested in Nuneaton.
Armed Warwickshire Police officers stopped a car near to Griff Island in Nuneaton yesterday (February 21) as part of an ‘intelligence led’ operation.
And at around 10.10pm yesterday night, a firearms warrant was carried out by West Midlands Police – assisting in the operation – at an address in Keresley, Coventry.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “The activity follows the arrest of a man earlier today after a car was stopped near to Griff Island in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
“Searches are on-going at the address and a number of people are helping officers with their enquiries.”
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson this morning confirmed the man remains in custody.
