Family of Coventry lorry driver who died in A14 crash pays tribute

THE FAMILY of a lorry driver who died in a crash has paid tribute.

David Thompson, 56, of Coventry, died following a collision between two lorries on the A14 between junctions one and two in Northamptonshire last Wednesday, May 15.

Mr Thompson’s family released the following statement through Northamptonshire Police: “David was a much loved father, son, grandfather and brother.

“He comes from a loving family and will be greatly missed.




“Condolences to the other driver’s family.”

An investigation into the collision remains ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses.


A 58-year-old man, Lee Johnston, from Northampton, also died in the collision.
