FAMILIES are invited to enjoy a variety of games and activities at a fun-filled community event in Coventry.
CU Coventry is holding its first ever community day on Saturday, June 10.
The event will take place from 11am to 4pm across the university campus in the city centre and is free to attend.
It will feature a range of activities and entertainment – including a bouncy castle, inflatable games, face painting, arts and crafts, sporting activities and circus performers – as well as refreshments and information about higher education.
There will also be information from local businesses on how to make the most of the summer with sporting initiatives, educational opportunities and other activities.
CU Coventry will be showcasing its courses through a host of interactive, thought-provoking subject exploration activities – with a short ‘SparkTalks’ from academics offering bite-sized information on topical research and innovation.
Gemma Marlowe of CU Coventry said: “We wanted to hold a fun event to bring the whole community together.
“Our student ambassadors will also be on-hand to provide people with information and assistance during the event.
“It will be a good opportunity to get families together who want to find out more about what the university has to offer as well as CU Coventry’s flexible learning options.
“It should be a really good event, and we look forward to welcoming people along.”
A limited amount of free parking will be available throughout the event at Grove Street Car Park.
