Extra time for officers investigating disappearance of Sameena Imam

DETECTIVES have been granted extra time to question two men in connection with a missing Coventry warehouse worker.

The men were arrested on Wednesday, January 7 by officers from West Midlands Police as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Sameena Imam.

The men, one aged 38 years and from Leicester and one man aged 40 years and from Coventry, were both arrested from their home addresses on suspicion of murder and can be held until later this evening (January 8) while searches continue at a property in Hughenden Drive, Leicester.

Sameena, aged 34, was last seen at her work address of Costco, Torrington Avenue, Coventry on Christmas Eve.




Her family are being kept up to date with developments.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact West Midlands Police on 101 and ask to speak to Force CID Operation Ceramic, or alternatively anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
