EDITOR’S COMMENT
The celebration of Cyrille Regis at Coventry Cathedral on Sunday was a moving and momentous occasion.
This newspaper had initially called for the service, and last week we teamed up with the cathedral to bring you the Order of Service in our eight-page special pull-out.
We are proud to have been associated with such an event that, while sad in marking a true Coventry great’s passing with his family present, was a fitting testament to what he meant to so many people.
Scores of volunteers and others were involved, and did brilliantly to beat the Siberian elements in the event’s preparation.
It highlighted the best of our city.
