We denigrate young people too easily in this country, especially around exam time.
Students can only take the exams put in front of them, if they aren’t suitable then it is up to our generation to change them.
We have had the privilege of reporting on many young people during the year, featuring their efforts to help others through charitable acts or to further some very bright business ideas.
Confident, erudite and knowledgeable they were a credit to their families and to the education they have received.
There are thousands like them across this country, decent young people with ideas for the future but a commendable respect for others. A credit to our city.
