Coventry Youth Project to launch warm hub for struggling youngsters

Coventry Editorial 28th Nov, 2022   0

BARDSLEY Youth Project is launching a warm hub for youngsters in Coventry struggling to heat their homes over the winter.

The warm hub will open on December 1 for those aged between 16 and 25.

It will then be held every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 1pm and 4pm at Bardsley House, although the service will not be available for the week between Christmas and new year.

At the hub, young people will be able to keep warm and charge their phones as well as have access to hot drinks, toast and soup.

They will also be able to access Bardsley’s other services such as one-on-one support outside of the hub’s times.

CenterPoint research conducted this year suggests those aged up to 24 years old are at risk of going without food and heating due to the impact of the cost-of-living crisis.

Bardsley Youth Project supports young people aged between 16 and 25 who are concerned about their housing situation.

Visit www.bardsleyyouth.org or call 07943 688760 between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday for more information.
