A WOMAN from Coventry whose house roof was ripped off by Storm Eunice has praised the firefighters who came to her aid.
Winds of up to 70mph lashed the West Midlands during today, wreaking havoc across the region and pulling down trees.
The roof of the house was blown off onto the road, damaging cars.
Firefighters from Coventry Fire Station who attended removed the remaining loose tiles and cleared debris.
Susan Powell, who the house belonged to said: “The firefighters were brilliant.
“They were here so quickly and were very supportive and sympathetic.
“They gave some really useful advice, moved the debris and helped to clear up.”
