COVENTRY United Ladies FC will be joining the football-wide social media boycott which starts today.
The boycott is in response to the ongoing discriminatory abuse in football.
The move – by English football which will affect Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts – will run from 3pm until 11.50pm on Monday.
The club said in a statement: “The move comes in response to the sustained discriminatory abuse received online by players and many others connected to football.
“The blackout has been scheduled to take place across a full fixture programme in the men’s and women’s professional game and will see clubs across the game take a stand.
“No Room For Racism represents all the work we do to promote equality, diversity and inclusion and tackling all forms of discrimination.”
