POLICE officers have seized a large quantity of gas canisters in Coventry city centre.
The action was taken because there is a Public Space Protection Order in the area.
The PSPO prohibits people from using nitrous oxide canisters to get high.
The canisters – primarily used for cake making and filling helium balloons – are abused by people wanting a short-term high.
The seizure was made by Coventry City Centre Police.
