Coventry to say goodbye to brave city youngster Hallie Reeve

COVENTRY will get the chance to pay a final tribute to brave city youngster Hallie Reeve tomorrow (Saturday) with a poignant funeral service at Coventry Cathedral.

The service will take place at 11am, followed by a private family committal.

The cathedral doors are open to all who wish to pay their respects to Hallie on her final journey, although the family has requested no young children be in attendance.

The family have also asked that no flowers be bought in Hallie’s memory.

The two-year-old sadly lost her battle with Juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia (JMML) last month.

A GoFundMe page, originally set up to raise £1million to fund a trip to America for Hallie’s potentially life-saving CAR-T cell therapy, will remain open until the end of the year with any new donations supporting her parents with the loss of Hallie.

Cash raised to fund Hallie’s therapy will be donated to causes close to her family’s heart.

In a statement on social media, Hallie’s dad Jamie said: “We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love, support, help and kindness you have shown to our beautiful girl and ourselves throughout Hallie’s life.

“You gave us hope in our darkest days and that will never be forgotten.”
