A DEDICATED Coventry Scouts volunteer has been bestowed with a prestigious honour in recognition of her outstanding service to the Coronation of HM King Charles III.
Sarah Miller is a member of the Coronation Spectators’ Group, and played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the historic Coronation of King Charles III last year.
A testimony to her and her fellow members of the group, said they embodied the Scout promise to do one’s duty to the monarch.
The Coronation Medal serves as an expression of gratitude from the nation to people like Sarah, whose dedication and commitment made the Coronation a memorable occasion.
Sarah’s contributions to the Coronation extended beyond her role as a Scout volunteer – she was actively involved in supporting young adults fulfilling their duties during the event.
In positions such as duty manager and shift leader, Sarah provided invaluable guidance and assistance.
Sarah said: “It was a great honour to support the young adults doing their duty.
“As a Scout we promise to do our duty to the monarch and I felt highly privileged to be given this opportunity and work with the fantastic young adults that were truly inspiring and great ambassadors.
“To be given this award I am truly proud and honoured.”
Deputy Prime Minister, Oliver Dowden said: “The Coronation would not be possible without the dedication and selfless service shown by our armed forces and other public servants.
“This medal is a fitting recognition of their efforts, and a thank you from the nation. It will be worn with pride for years to come.”
