COVENTRY building society arena hosted thousands of people from the Sri Lankan community for this years Summer Punch.
The event was a full-standing concert and was hosted by Shahashra Entertainments – it was the biggest UK Sri Lanken concert this year.
The event was headlined by musician, composer and songwriter Shihan Mihiranga – one of the country’s biggest youth sensations in the 2000s and a product of reality show Sirasa Superstar.
There was a performance by the two-man group Wasthi, who run the number one entertainment YouTube channel in the country, alongside Umara Sinawansha – known for her contributions to pop, R and B and jazz.
Six-person band Infinity completed the line-up on what was a night to remember for everyone who attended.
Jenni Ford, director of sales and marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said it was proud to have hosted this important event for the Sri Lankan community.
“It’s been a brilliant summer so far for music fans at the Arena and Summer Punch has played a big part in that.
“Shahashra Entertainments organised a brilliant show and there was a unique atmosphere in the Indoor Arena all evening.
“We’ve hosted some huge names at the venue over the last two decades and now we can add four of the most renowned and highly regarding artists from Sri Lanka to that list.”
