WARWICKSHIRE Police are appealing for information after the body of a 50-year-old man from Coventry was discovered in Corley on Sunday (October 23) morning.
A member of the public discovered the body at 8.30am on Burrow Hill Lane in Corley, Warwickshire, between Burrow Hill Farm, Corley Rock Cattery and Grooming Parlour.
A number of lines of enquiries are currently being followed by Warwickshire Police, who believe the man may have been hit by a vehicle.
Detective Inspector Anna Middleton said: “We believe the incident occurred at some time between 11pm on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.
“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area between these times and especially someone who believes they may have hit something.
“Any bit of information, no matter how small, may be crucial to helping us piece together what happened.”
The man’s next of kin has been informed and police are awaiting formal identification of the body.
West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene and confirmed the man had died by time they arrived at the scene.
A spokesperson said: “We were called by Warwickshire Police at 8.40am on Sunday morning.
“An ambulance and a paramedic support officer were sent to the scene.
“Crews confirmed the man was dead when they arrived at the scene, the case has since been handed over to Warwickshire Police.”
