A COVENTRY man, 29, has been arrested in Spain in connection with the murder of Daniel Shaw and the disappearance and possible torture of Johnny Robbins, also believed to be dead.

West Midlands Police, supported by the Spanish authorities, yesterday (November 29) apprehended the man in Southern Spain – wanted in the UK for his involvement in a conspiracy to murder.

He was brought back to the West Midlands where he is being questioned in connection with the crimes.

Daniel Shaw, 28, was found dead with gunshot injuries to his chest at around 11:15pm on Sunday, March 25 this year in Copland Place in the Tile Hill area of the city.

Police also believe 33-year-old Mr Robbins − who went missing on March 21 − has been murdered after being kidnapped and tortured. His body has not yet been found.

A woman was last week arrested on suspicion of assisting a man police believe played a part in the crimes.

Two men, aged 22 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of his murder but were released pending further investigation.

A dedicated team of detectives continues to work on this investigation, police say.
