Coventry housebuilder raises £2,000 for Cancer Research UK

Coventry Editorial 1st Aug, 2022   0

A COVENTRY-based housebuilder has raised almost £2,000 for Cancer Research UK, through a charity walk by five members of the land and planning team.

The members of Bellway South Midlands trekked over nine miles between two of the firm’s housing developments.

Land director Dan Forrester, land manager Christy Mclean, land buyer Jack Polson, regional estimator Rob Perkins, and land graduate Alice Fish made their way from Staverton Lodge, Daventry, to Houlton Meadows in Rugby.

Forrester said the walk was a great opportunity to get together and raise funds for an extremely deserving cause.

Since their partnership began in 2016, Bellway has raised almost £2million for Cancer Research UK and is aiming to reach £3million for the cause by the end of 2023 as part of its ‘3 for 23’ campaign.

The five raised £995 on the day which Bellway doubled to give a grand total of £1,910.

Mr Forrester said: ” would like to thank all of those who donated to our cause, and to everyone who took part in what was an enjoyable day for all involved.”
