A RESIDENT has hit out at the city council for leaving ‘rubbish piling up’ after bins in part of the city have not been collected for almost a month.
Raam Tarat contacted the Observer about the issue which has seen two consecutive collections missed.
He said: “We haven’t had our recycling bins collected since May 28.
“This is throughout the CV6 area and an utter disgrace.
“Uncollected waste can cause disease and ill health, and is not good for the wellbeing of residents.”
And it is not only the waste issue Mr Tarat is concerned about.
He added: “The bins have been left out throughout the street as they’ve not been collected.
“It’s causing an obstruction for those with pushchairs, wheelchairs and older people’s electric vehicles.”
The Observer contacted Coventry City Council on Monday and is awaiting comment.
