Coventry City Council promises free family fun at CycleFest

Coventry Editorial 24th Sep, 2021   0

JOIN Coventry City Council on Saturday 25 September from 10am to 4pm at Millennium Place for a free, family-friendly event as part of #OurFutureMoves.

There are loads of cycling activities on offer for every member of the family.

And if you’re new to cycling, or returning, you’ll be able to learn more about the support and training on offer.

You’ll also get a sneak peek at some of the latest developments in active travel and will be able to learn more about the many ways the Council can support you in cycling, whether it’s for work or play.

There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day.

The activities available are:

Try a bike – there are ebikes, cargo bikes, tricycles and adapted bikes for all ages and abilities available to try.

Experience the Pedal Power Arcade: race your friends, spin some art or your own smoothie – all using a custom bike.

Get a free bike check-up and repair: Dr Bike is on hand to give your bike the onceover.

Find your fun: find out how to get involved with local clubs, guided rides and training.

Donate a bike: bring along an unwanted bike for The Bike Project to recycle for local refugees.

Supervised event cycle parking will be available by the Whittle Arch (bring a lock), or use the West Midlands Cycle Hire docking station opposite Pool Meadow Bus Station.
