SEASON ticket holders at the Coventry Bees speedway club will receive a full refund after it was announced on Sunday the club will not be competing in this year’s SGB Premiership.
Many fans were already anticipating another exciting season of speedway racing, which sees four riders compete on a shale-based oval track reaching speeds of 70mph on bikes with no brakes.
However, despite being told on three occasions the club was racing, the BSPA announced the club’s license had been put on ice and the club would not be allowed to compete this year.
A statement on the Bees website said: “The management wish to re-assure those supporters who applied for season tickets that these will not be processed.
“Cheques and photographs which have already been sent will be returned over the coming days.”
