THE £660 gazebo designed by a young artist from Coventry’s Earlsdon Primary School has been delivered.
Isabel was one of three winners in a national tent design competition.
The contest – organised by Gala Tent – challenged children up to the age of 11 to create prints for a top-of-the-range gazebo and received more than 100 entries from up and down the country.
A shortlist of 18 (six in each age category) was drawn up and a public vote determined the top three.
Year six pupil Isabel’s design received 1,743 votes on Gala Tent’s Facebook page – the third highest.
The colourful design featured a ‘Rainbow of Hope’ background, along with Shaun the Sheep and the WWF Panda.
Gala Tent has now brought Isabel’s design to life and delivered it to the school last week.
Everyone at Earlsdon Primary School is so proud of her achievement and a delighted Isabel said: “I chose to draw a panda, as they are my favourite animal and I love to draw them. I was inspired by the NHS for the rainbow background and I drew an Earth to represent diversity.
“The Earlsdon crown is our school’s logo and I have enjoyed watching Shaun the Sheep at school during lunchtimes.”
