COVENTRY city centre is offering new weekend attractions for the Christmas period.
Coventry Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting the Coventry Festive Weekends, set to take place for three days on November 24, 25 and 26 and then December 15, 16 and 17.
Coventry BID plans a mix of shopping, seasonal food and entertainment in Broadgate Square to celebrate the festive period.
Both weekends will be filled with street performers, live music, shopping and other family friendly attractions.
During the two events, street performers such as Thomas Trilby, Larkin About, Electric Cabaret, Granny Turismo and Diggin’ Holes will be entertaining shoppers.
A main stage will be set up in the shopping area over the two events and live music will be provided by a range of poplar bands and artists.
The line-up will feature names such as ‘The Upsiders’, Charlie Healy, Coventry Festival Brass Band, Alex Norman, ‘UnScripted’, ‘Silverside’ and Impact Steel Band.
A team of presenters have also been drafted in for the pair of events and include Free Radio Breakfast favourites, JD, Roisin and Producer Paul and CBBC star, Kevin Mcgreevy.
There will be a total of 30 stalls selling an array of items.
Classic fairground rides will also be located in Millennium Place in the city centre.
