A CITY-based business specialising in digital design went golf crazy last month to raise more than £3,000 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
Image+ held its first charity golf day at Nailcote Hall as 48 golfers took to the venue’s three-par course.
From prize giveaways to sponsored putts, money was raised throughout the day – including the sale of ‘mulligans’ and helium filled balloons which golfers could purchase at £5 each to take their shot again.
Every time a shot was retaken, the balloon was released into the skies of Warwickshire and beyond.
Alan Hartin, managing director at Image+, said: “We’ve worked with charities like Children in Need in the past, but Zoë’s Place is such a good cause and right here in Coventry – so it felt like the perfect fit.”
The day raised a total of £3038 for the baby hospice, which provides care and support 24 hours a day for children and their families.
Muna from Zoë’s Place, who attended the fundraising event, said: “The event was so positive, and everyone involved so committed to raising money for Zoë’s Place.
“The money will make a huge difference to the hospice, its team and the children and families we care for.”
