CCTV released after student flats stabbing in Coventry

CCTV has been released after an alleged stabbing during an attempted burglary at student accommodation in Coventry.

The incident took place in Godiva Place student block on Lower Ford Street, Hillfields, in the city centre on March 7.

The video features two men dressed in black clothing approaching a door, with one suspect circled in yellow.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise this man?




“We want to speak to him in connection with an attempted burglary at a flat in Godiva Place in Coventry on March 7.

“The occupant received a stab injury to his head as the offenders tried to steal his Rolex watch.


“The suspect is described as black or Asian, aged between 18 and 19 years and around 5 foot 9 inches tall.

“A second suspect was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

“Bilal Boulaleh, aged 20, of Cullwell Street in Wolverhampton, appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court on March 9.”
