A PICTURE of a taxi has been released by police investigating the triple shooting in Coventry on Thursday evening, September 17.

Officers say the driver of the car – believed to be a silver Peugeot Tepee with a white taxi sign on the roof – could have valuable information or even dash cam footage which could be crucial in helping to identify the attackers.

The car was in Far Gosford Street at the time of the shooting.

Det Insp Kat Sibley from Force CID, said: “We are exploring several lines of enquiry and this taxi driver could hold information to assist us.”

The three men injured on Thursday are less hurt than first thought.

Only one is still in hospital where his condition is stable.

Police have vowed to catch those responsible for the ‘horrific violence’.

A dispersal order is in place in the area.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
