Carjacking in Wyken, Coventry - two men remain in custody

FIVE men aged 22 to 36 were arrested and questioned by West Midlands Police on suspicion of robbery following an alleged carjacking in Wyken, Coventry yesterday (Wednesday January 8).

Police said today (Thursday, January 9) three men aged 22, 30 and 32 have since been released on police bail, while two men, aged 27 and 36, remain in police custody while enquiries continue.

The alleged carjacking incident happened in Coventry at around 3pm. A stolen van and another car believed to be connected to the robbery were spotted on the M6 and were stopped by officers a short time later in the area of St Chads Road, Bilston, near Wolverhampton.
