OLDER people living at Cubbington Mill Care Home have proved they are a close-knit community after creating clothes and blankets for Zoe’s Place baby hospice in Coventry.
Residents have been getting together in the Knit and Natter group to support the charity, which provides palliative respite and care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Zoe’s place is a safe caring home from home for parents and children who need the support.
Dimpho Kavanagh, Cubbington Mill’s general manager, said: “Our lovely Knit & Natter group are so happy to be supporting local babies and infants – it is such a worthwhile cause and we aim to continue our knitting for the whole of 2021.”
