BUSINESSES and organisations in Coventry are being invited to an exclusive Transport Expo as part of COP26 tomorrow and Thursday, November 10 and 11.
The Regional Roadshow at Coventry University Technology Park is one of a select few COP26 events taking place in the Midlands.
It is being funded by the department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and will coincide with the Transport and Built Environment Presidency days of COP26. That brings together leaders from around the world, COP26 aims to deliver the world’s next steps in limiting the effects of climate change.
At the Transport Expo, representatives from local businesses will receive an exclusive tour of the National Transport Design Centre, revealing innovative prototypes of transport designs being worked on at Coventry University.
They will also get the chance to view augmented reality technology highlighting how zero carbon infrastructure will complement future developments of the city of Coventry.
Researchers from WMG at the University of Warwick will be on hand with live demonstrations of industry-leading low-carbon technology development of e-leisure vehicles.
With additional activities on offer including a micromobility session featuring e-rickshaws, e-bikes and e-scooters, an e-bus ‘Tour and Talk’ of the city’s innovative transport future, and networking opportunities, the event will be invaluable for local businesses.
