Man in critical condition after assault in Coventry

A MAN is in a critical condition after he was assaulted in Coventry last night (March 17).

Emergency services say police officers saved his life through ‘excellent’ first-aid.

He was taken to hospital and is in critical care.

Footage posted on social media showed a motorbiker involved in the incident on Jubilee Crescent.

West Midlands Police helicopter was in action above the Radford area.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “We were called to reports of an assault in Jubilee Crescent, Coventry at 6.44pm last night (Tuesday). Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene.

“A man was in a critical condition and was being given excellent first aid by police. Crews administered advanced life support before the man was conveyed on blue lights to hospital for further emergency care.
