THE TEAM at Amazon Coventry has donated £1,000 in memory of a former colleague Matt Pascoe who took his own life earlier this year.

The cash has gone to both Help For Heroes, which helps anyone affected by their military service, and mental health charity Mind – two causes close to Matt’s heart.

Paul Roberts, Amazon Coventry’s general manager, said: “It is incredibly important for the team at Amazon in Coventry to make these donations in honour of our colleague and friend Matt, who is missed by us all at the fulfillment centre.

“The services that both Help for Heroes and Mind provide are vital and we hope this donation helps the charities to continue their great work in our community.”

Dean Williams, the area fund-raising manager from Help for Heroes, thanked the Coventry team for the donation in Matt’s memory.

“We are thinking of his family, friends and colleagues at this sad time.

“We hope they’ll gain comfort from knowing his name lives on through the wounded veterans and families supported by this kindness.”
