'A time for us to come together and celebrate with our loved ones' - Christmas message from the Coventry North West MP

Coventry Editorial 24th Dec, 2021   0

2021 has been another challenging year for our communities in Coventry North West, as we have continued to deal with the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.

But we have also seen the very best of our city, as people in Coventry have shown our resilience and our compassion, supporting each other during these uncertain times.

This year has seen the 2021 UK City of Culture come to Coventry. It’s been brilliant to be able to celebrate our history and heritage, and to share that with the world.

I’ve loved being able to get out and meet people across Coventry North West. To everyone who has attended one of my street meetings, coffee afternoons, town hall meetings or who has spoken to me on the doorstep, thank you.

Thank you also to the schools, faith groups, businesses and charities who have allowed me to visit and to see the fantastic work that you do.

Christmas is a time for us to come together and celebrate with our loved ones.

It is also a time to remember those who are less fortunate. Please do consider donating to or volunteering with one of the many charities or community groups here in Coventry.

As the Omicron variant is spreading, please do stay safe.

Most importantly, get your booster vaccine. It is the best way to protect you and your family this Christmas.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
