21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of fundraising for terrorism

A Coventry man has been arrested on suspicion of fundraising for terrorism.

The 21-year-old was arrested by officers from the on the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command morning of Wednesday, June 17 at a residential address in the city.

Upon arrest, the man was taken to a West Midlands police station.

Searches have concluded at the address and the man has now been released on police bail until a date in late September, pending further enquiries.
