VIRTUAL gin tastings, takeaway afternoon teas and a live Facebook ‘lambcam’ are a few of the lockdown Mother’s Day events happening in Coventry and Warwickshire this weekend.

Tourist attractions and hotels have stepped up to the challenge by planning a host of imaginative events and gifts around social distancing for Mothering Sunday this weekend on March 14.

Chief executive of Shakespeare’s England, Helen Peters, said: “I am thrilled that our members are coming up with ways to help people celebrate Mother’s Day, whether that’s on the actual weekend or later on as things ease.

“They are offering a variety of choice, so you will be able to find something perfect for your mum.
