POPULAR alternative hip-hop band Sleaford Mods will make a visit to Coventry later this year after announcing venues for their UK tour.
The Empire will host the two-piece band from Nottingham on Monday (November 7).
Following the release of their third album in June 2015, Sleaford Mods has been raised to more prominence in the industry than ever before with them touching the top ten album charts.
The duo’s first performance was at an event curated by Nottingham’s Rammel Club and during the performance a working relationship with abstract punk label Harbinger Sound was formed.
The partnership has gone on to produce three groundbreaking albums that have gained Sleaford Mods and large dedicated fan base on a national and international level.
A previous collaboration with The Prodigy saw Sleaford Mods feature in The Prodigy’s album ‘The Day is My Enemy’ – released in March 2015.
Singer Jason Williamson said: “After a bit of a rest the Sleaford mean machine will once again rattle around the UK.”
Tickets for the event are priced at £15 and can be purchased from 9am on Friday (April 1).
