WITHÂ their heavy metal Teutonic rock, It was a spectacular scene.
It was as visual as it was musical, I was stunned and amazed to see and hear so many people in the crowd all singing in German.
This band definitely are the ambassadors of the German language (they never sing in English).
Indeed they never actually spoke except right at the end when enigmatic frontman Till Lindemann said: “Coventry, England – thank you very much for singing along to German songs, we are very grateful, thank you.”
Having said that the music on offer was dark and industrial and was sense numbingly loud with pyrotechnics flames shooting everywhere.
I was 15 again and headbanging with the best of them, a truly wonderful night. Danke.
